The origins
Dream interpretation is one of the oldest symbolic practices of humanity. Its roots go back to Mesopotamia, where dreams were recorded on clay tablets more than four thousand years ago, and to Ancient Egypt, where they were considered messages from the divine world.
In Ancient Greece, temples dedicated to Asclepius practised dream incubation. Philosophers such as Aristotle and, later, Plotinus reflected on the nature of dream life. In the Judeo-Christian tradition, the Book of Genesis already describes Joseph as an interpreter of dreams.
It is important to understand: dream interpretation is not an exact science nor a tool for guaranteed prediction. It is a symbolic language that invites reflection and self-knowledge, helping you recognise emotional patterns and recurring themes of inner life.

How the interpretation is done
The interpretation does not seek an isolated meaning and present it as truth. The reading is built in layers, distinguishing what was reported, what is narrative observation and what is symbolic hypothesis.
1. Emotional climate
The emotions in the dream reveal tensions, desires and needs that ask for attention. The predominant emotions are identified and observed in how they evolve throughout the narrative.
2. Central symbols
People, places, objects and actions work as symbols. The interpretation considers the context of the account itself before generic universal meanings.
3. Recurring patterns
When you record several dreams, themes, emotions and symbols that repeat can be identified — without turning frequency into a clinical diagnosis.
What it is for and how we protect you
Dream interpretation works as a symbolic mirror. It does not predict the future, nor does it replace medical, psychological or professional guidance. Its value lies in offering a language to observe the inner world: recognising emotions, reflecting on conflicts and noticing themes that repeat.
Before generating any interpretation, Mística runs a safety assessment. If the dream mentions sensitive themes, the reading responds with care without going deeper into the content. If there is an indication of risk, the interpretation is replaced by a message of support.
Your dream diary is private by default. No one but you accesses your records, and you can edit or delete them at any time.
